Waste Stream

$4,500.00

Salvaged closet door, acrylic paint, adhesive, plastic lids, caps, toys, paper, etc.

There are over 130 tributaries of the Potomac River, covering 14,670 square miles in four states. These tributaries are vulnerable habitats, impacted by various forms of waste, and while removing the visible trash certainly helps the environment, there are a lot of pollutants we can’t see: silt and sediment from erosion after land is cleared of trees for building, industrial pollution, pesticides, fertilizers, road salt, etc. While the water quality of the Potomac River has improved over the years, it’s not yet safe for swimming or fishing. Visit www.potomac.org to learn more about what you can do to help.
