Stumpy, the internet sensation Cherry Blossom tree that rose to fame in the Spring of 2020, was a symbol of resiliency in the face of adversity. Barely clinging to life, roots inundated by rising tides of a warming globe and outdated, failing infrastructure, the Washington DC internet community rallied behind Stumpy's perseverance to bloom, jauntily to one side, until the National Park Service sealed the tree's fate. Clones of Stumpy are now being nurtured, so that the legend may live on. Long Live Stumpy!
